This week the Gallery at Neve Schechter opens Reflections, a new exhibit celebrating the Jewish New Year.
This group exhibit of contemporary Israeli artists highlights different meanings of reflections. On one side of the gallery are the personal reflections that Jews are invited to engage in during the High Holidays. On the other side are visual manifestations of reflections as mirror images in nature and in culture.
The color blue appears in many works in the exhibit and directs our eyes and thoughts to mythical human reflections within a body of water.
