The recycling project at the TALI HaDror school in Mevaseret Zion takes sustainability to the next level. Roughly 7,000 bottles and cans were collected in the school during March and February 2022.
This special project was held this year for the first time. The refunds from the bottle returns will be used for various projects around the school.
The commendable project engages faculty and staff, the student body, as well as all their parents. The students learn what a communal and environmental initiative looks like, as well as how to sort, count, and identify the different bottles and cans. Additionally, the students learn what the different items are made from. To encourage students to bring in more bottles and cans the school made large awards in the shape of a bottle to honor the class who brought in the most.
The money collected will be used to fund other sustainability projects around the school.
