The Schechter Institutes is looking for the next English Media Coordinator!

Job Description:

Are you a native English speaker with a great journalistic sense, a people person who knows how to find stories and share them in exciting ways, and familiar with pluralistic Judaism? Come, work with us!

The job consists of administration and operation of the English new media assets for The Schechter Institutes, working with our academic and senior staff, and sharing stories of our success with donors and followers.

Responsibilities:

• • Creating content for social media, websites, email blasts, and advertisements
  • Planning and creating newsletters
  • Creating opportunities for donors for online encounters and reports about Schechter projects
  • Facilitating interaction with web users through text, photos, and videos
  • Advertising activities and attracting visitors/potential donors to Schechter
  • Promoting articles by faculty and facilitating online dialogue on Judaism and current events
  • Coordinating distance learning and webinars
  • Creating online fundraising campaigns for targeted audiences
  • Facilitating rapid response to web queries

Qualifications:

• • Native English speaker
  • Great journalistic sense
  • Competence in working with social networks (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter), marketing, and Paid Content Promotion
  • Knowledge of WordPress
  • High-level English writing skills
  • Creativity
  • Team player
  • BA degree
  • Connection/Identification with pluralistic Judaism
  • Preference for those with a background in Jewish studies
  • Knowledge of graphic design programs, SEO, and video editing programs – advantage
  • Functional Hebrew reading and speaking skills

Position:

Part-time – 20 hours per week, 80-90 hours per month
