Global Outreach
and Peoplehood

As the world shrinks, Schechter is on the front lines, bringing meaningful Jewish engagement to Jewish communities in Israel and overseas.

In today’s interconnected, rapidly evolving world, Schechter strives to strengthen ties between Jews across Israel and communities overseas. Whether educating rabbinical students from overseas or creating video content to promote tolerance online, Schechter Rabbinical Seminary connects lay leaders and future rabbinic leadership across countries and cultures. M.A. students bring the notion of pluralistic, enlightened Judaism back to their communities and schools. In Tel Aviv, Neve Schechter brings artists and musicians from across the Jewish world to perform and create together. Principals and teachers of TALI schools are introduced to the Jewish bookshelf and later to North American Jewish communities, sparking a fertile, cross-continental exchange between Jewish educators. Ukrainian Jews are rebuilding community life through synagogue involvement, schools and summer camps across Ukraine.

Tikva Guetta

As a daughter of immigrants from Libya, earning this degree is a way to connect to the Jewish values that guided my parents, which I am obliged to pass on to my children and grandchildren.

Liti Golan

The defining experience is that of being in a place where pluralism isn't talked about: it's lived.

Yuri Amir Radchenko

Director of the Center for Inter-Ethnic Relations in Eastern Europe; Jewish activist in Kiev and Kharkov

I would be honored to serve the Jewish community of Kharkov and I am convinced that Conservative Judaism – the middle way – best suits the spiritual needs of the vast majority of this city’s Jews.

Sigalit Landau

Israeli sculptor, video and installation artist, frequent contributor to Neve Schechter art exhibits, author of Salt Years

Neve Schechter provides a pluralistic platform where all narratives can be heard. This is a place that fuses Jewish community with continuity, void of any religious coercion.
